In 2007, RGAL installed a state of the art Electronic Medical Record System known as "gCARE". The decision to implement an EMR was to provide patients with the highest quality of care available. The selection of gCare was made since is is a GI (gastroenterology) specific system. Our EMR system provides the following benefits:

- Reviews correspondence, results, and other patient information more efficiently
- Protects patient privacy (HIPAA)
- Provides customized patient education
- Same day office visit letter sent to your referring or family physician
- Patients receive a copy of their procedure report with photos for services performed in our office facilities
- Streamline communication between RGAL physicians and staff
- Provides access to patient charts outside the office
- Transmits prescriptions directly to the pharmacy of your choosing
Through the use of this new technology, our physicians and staff are able to access the patient's chart and collaborate electronically. This improves patient care while providing maximum security of patient information. It is the goal of RGAL to continue to use new technology to increase the quality of care for our patients.
